Rugby & league support White Ribbon Day in Cook islands

The PPDVP is sponsoring members of NZ rugby and rugby league in Rarotonga to carry a non violence message and to support White Ribbon Day.  The group is made up of six players, a Super 14 coach, two development officers and a trainer.  The first day was spent with travel and preparation, and getting to know the island.

They have had a busy day on Friday (local time) working with two primary schools and two colleges. This evening they are participating at Masters Games, and later will unwind in the gym.  On Saturday they will march through town to the Saturday markets.  Later that day they will attend the opening of the South Pacific Vaka Competitions at Avarua.

The visit has been coordinated local by Cook Islands Police, Punanga Tauturu Inc, Red Cross, Cook Islands Rugby and Cook Islands League and Rotaianga Mens Support Centre
