NZ Police Family Violence procedures updated

The New Zealand Police have updated their family violence policy and procedures to reflect recent legislative amendments and changes in policy.  The new procedures describe how to deal with the new Public Safety Orders which provide police with powers to issue temporary orders when attending a domestic or family violence incident.

NZ Police have also updated the policy on sharing information on family violence cases with partners agencies and NGO’s.

Both of the new policy documents are provided as Resources and can be accessed from the links below or from the Resources tab on this web site.
